Mr. Stechman is involved in Lehman & Eilen LLP's litigation, arbitration and mediation practice areas. Mr. Stechman has substantial commercial and securities litigation experience in state and federal courts throughout the country, as well as significant arbitration and mediation experience in proceedings before the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. ("NASD"). Mr. Stechman is experienced in all phases of complex commercial litigation from drafting of pleadings through discovery and trials. Mr. Stechman's areas of practice include commercial contracts, corporate litigation, real estate, securities, RICO, construction, employment and insurance law. Mr. Stechman has also represented brokers and broker-dealers in disciplinary proceedings before the Securities and Exchange Commission, NASD and the New York Stock Exchange. Prior to coming to Lehman & Eilen LLP, Mr. Stechman was associated with the law firms of Carro, Spanbock, Kaster and Cuiffo, Camhy, Karlinsky & Stein LLP, and Smith Campbell & Paduano. During his career, Mr. Stechman has represented such institutional clients as Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, The Danish Hydraulic Institute, Integrated Resources, Inc., Helmsley-Spear, Inc., Gotham Construction Corp., PaineWebber Corp. and Prudential Securities Inc. Mr. Stechman earned his Juris Doctor from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 1985. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Hamilton College in 1982 and studied at the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Scotland from 1980 to 1981. |
